Industrial rescue - RescuePack User
A very popular syllabus for industrial rescue teams. Introduces candidates to the fundamentals of rescue, allowing them to function effectively as part of a team. A highly practical course which delivers competence in rescue from a variety of high, remote or confined situations, whilst ensuring that rescuers are protected from the risk of falls by using personal safety equipment. Includes practical exercises from real situations such as silos, confined shafts and crawlways, high platforms, hooped ladders and vertical walls. For rescue team or emergency team members from any industrial environment. Classroom sessions with extensive practical content. Teaches simple techniques for protecting the operator and performing rescue operations either by lowering or raising. Also covers the use of a safety line for back-up of the casualty or for safety of team members. All aspects of equipment selection, use and maintenance are covered, including quadpods, winches, stretchers, rescuers PPE and portable equipment for lowering or raising. Covers suspension trauma and casualty handling methods. T2, T3, T4 & T5 Meets Fire & Rescue Service Manual, Fire Service Training - Foundation Training and Development: Principles of standard practice and techniques. ACWAHT (Advisory Committee for Work at Height Training) syllabus is also covered in this course.
