This 4 day course is aimed as riggers who hold a current FASET Safety Net Riggers card to achieve advanced level of net rigging.

This practical courses builds upon existing user knowledge and includes access to and egress from work position for rigging nets, via the use of vertical ropes, ladders, portable towers or powered access. The intended application is limited to relatively straightforward situations where rescue can be achieved by lowering a casualty to safety.

Includes relevant requirements of BS 7985, BS 8437 and ISO/WD 22846-2. Covers characteristics of a safe system of work, including equipment, legal requirements, hazards, risk assessment, method statements, conformity, inspection, and defined rescue procedures.
Following successful completion of the course, candidates will be able to:
a) traverse steelwork, either in suspension or straddling to fix safety netting.
b) ascend or descend fixed ropes for access or egress from the workplace. (NOTE - no work is to be carried out while suspended from ropes).
c) rescue any person requiring assistance using standard procedures and equipment.
