Occasional climber for mast and towers
A less detailed version of our two day Climber course - for persons who will climb very occasionally, always under the supervision of a more experienced climber. This course is not designed to permit access outside protected areas. Occasional climbers should not carry out work of a substantial nature whilst on the structure and must never leave the security of protected platforms. For persons who climb structures only occasionally and always be under the direct supervision of an experienced climber or rigger. Classroom lecture with practical exercises. Provides initial skills to allow a person to access tall structures safely, for the purpose of carrying out light maintenance or inspection work. After the course, candidates will be aware of relevant legislation, will be able to select and care for their own personal protective equipment and will have foundation knowledge to work safely at height. ACWAHT (Advisory Committee for Work at Height Training) syllabus is also covered in this course.
