Code of practice for selection, use and maintenance of personal fall protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace

A draft amendment to the existing British Standard that gives recommendations and guidance on the selection, use and maintenance of personal fall protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace to prevent and/or to arrest falls from a height, including systems and equipment suitable for use in rescue. The standard also gives guidance on rescue of persons working at a height, in the event of an accident.

BS 8539
Code of practice for the selection and installation of post-installed anchors in concrete and masonry

The draft of a new British Standard that gives recommendations for the safe selection and installation of anchors for use in concrete and masonry. The standard is intended to provide practical guidance for designers, specifiers, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, installers and testers of anchors. In particular, this British Standard applies to the selection and installation of anchors which are used in safety-critical applications. The standard is restricted to the use of anchors which are inserted into concrete and masonry in drilled holes.
