BREXIT – Deal or No Deal it’s Business as Usual

H11Q Phoenix

We are noting an increasing degree of concern from customers about the possible negative impact of Brexit on the reliability of supply.

heightec is one of very few manufacturers of both textile and engineered metal fall protection products remaining in the UK. We believe our exposure to Brexit in general and in particular a hard Brexit is relatively minor.  However, we are taking additional steps to mitigate against unforeseen consequences.

We do not outsource production of any of our products and all significant manufacturing, assembly and inspection processes are done at our production facility in Kendal, Cumbria.

All specialist component processes (e.g. injection moulding) are carried out in the UK, in most cases relatively locally or in a small number of cases overseas.

Our primary manufacturing materials (nylon, sheet metal, polymer) are sourced in the UK but are also universally available internationally.  We do not anticipate significant interruption of supply for these raw materials and our requirements are modest in terms of national capacity.

Only a few materials or components are sourced from Europe, for which we hold adequate buffer stock. UK or international options also exist for these if required.

We are increasing our stock levels of parts at all stages of the production process and also of finished stock.

I believe heightec offers substantial reliability and security compared with non-UK manufacturers and I am confident in being able to continue with uninterrupted same day shipping for all of our products.
