RenewableUK (RUK) have released a statement announcing the withdrawal of their training standards.
They have reviewed the requirements for the RenewableUK training standards against the widely accepted international standards from Global Wind Organisation (GWO) which they already recognise as equivalent.
The standards to be withdrawn from RUK are as follows:
- RenewableUK Working at Height & Rescue -Wind Turbines
- RenewableUK Marine Safety Training
- RenewableUK First Aid – Wind Turbines
- RenewableUK Fire Awareness
- RenewableUK Manual Handling
The final date for any RenewableUK Training Standards course to be completed is 31/12/2017.
RUK will fully withdraw from the industry on 31/12/2019. This will be the final date GWO approved training providers can accept any RenewableUK Training Standard Certificates as a pre-requisite for GWO refresher training.
Certification will be GWO only from 1st January 2018.
