This GWO Work at Height & Rescue – WTG training course is for technicians who require access to and work on wind turbine generators to carry out installation, inspection or servicing on a variety of structures.
The course is run in London and covers several modules over two days including:
- elements of safe system of work
- equipment selection, maintenance and inspection
- risk assessment, method statements and emergency procedures
- use of restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems
- evacuation and rescue using industry standard equipment
Rescue practices are covered in this work at height course.

GWO Work at Height & Rescue – WTG Revalidation – 1 day – for those who have an in-date GWO certificate for Working at Heights.
PLEASE NOTE: Global Wind Organisation (GWO) now operate a Global Wind Industry Training Records Database – called WINDA. To obtain a GWO certificate, trainees must first register with GWO as a Delegates on the WINDA database and obtain a WINDA ID. This must be given to your training provider along with prior expiry dates where applicable.
