Industrial rescue – RescuePack User is a highly practical course which delivers competence in rescue from a variety of high, remote or confined situations, whilst ensuring that rescuers are protected from the risk of falls by using personal safety equipment.
Foundation course in the use of the RescuePack Pro industrial rescue system. Provides training in fall protection and basic rescue techniques to allow a team to lifeline a rescuer or raise / lower a rescuer or casualty using a twinline system.
Includes practical exercises from real situations such as silos, confined shafts and crawlways, high platforms, hooped ladders and vertical walls. Teaches simple techniques for protecting the operator and performing rescue operations either by lowering or raising.
Industrial rescue – RescuePack User also covers the use of a safety line for back-up of the casualty or for safety of team members.
All aspects of equipment selection, use and maintenance are covered, including quadpods, winches, stretchers, rescuers PPE and portable equipment for lowering or raising.
Covers suspension intolerance and casualty handling methods.
Meets Fire and Rescue Service Manual, “Fire Service Training – Foundation Training and Development: Principles of standard practice and techniques”.
