The Industrial Rescue Technician Revalidation is for existing RescuePack users who wish to revalidate their skills.
For Fire Service, Hazardous Area Response Teams and other Industrial Rescue units. Classroom sessions with extensive practical content.
After the course candidates will be able to demonstrate all the core elements of the RescuePack.
This is a workshop style course teaching the simple techniques for protecting the operator and performing rescue operations either by lowering or raising. Also covers the use of a safety line for back-up of the casualty or for safety of team members.
All aspects of equipment selection, use and maintenance are covered, including quadpods, winches, stretchers, rescuers personal protective equipment (PPE) and portable equipment for lowering or raising.
Covers suspension trauma and casualty handling methods.
Safety footwear required for all practical sessions.

The Industrial Rescue Technician Revalidation course meets Fire & Rescue Service Manual, Fire Service Training – Foundation Training and Development: Principles of standard practice and techniques.
ACWAHT (Advisory Committee for Work at Height Training) syllabus is also covered in this course.
