Provides a review of Work at Height Regulations and elements of the use of fall protection equipment. Practical sessions review emergency procedures and use of rescue equipment for personal evacuation and rescue of a casualty.
GWO Working at Heights WTG – revalidation course is run in London for those who have a current GWO certificate for Working at Heights and wish to revalidate their training certificate.
This GWO Working at Heights WTG training course is for technicians who require access to and work on wind turbine generators to carry out installation, inspection or servicing on a variety of structures.
The course covers several modules over two days including:
- elements of safe system of work
- equipment selection, maintenance and inspection
- risk assessment, method statements and emergency procedures
- use of restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems
- evacuation and rescue using industry standard equipment
Rescue practices are covered in this course.
Evacuation and rescue using industry standard equipment are practised at height.

GWO certificate for Working at heights WTG – 2 day course – for those who need to complete the full 2 day course to obtain a GWO certificate for Working at Heights.
PLEASE NOTE: Global Wind Organisation (GWO) now operate a Global Wind Industry Training Records Database – called WINDA. To obtain a GWO certificate, trainees must first register with GWO as a Delegates on the WINDA database and obtain a WINDA ID. This must be given to your training provider along with prior expiry dates where applicable.
