Provides a review of Work at Height Regulations and elements of the use of fall protection equipment. Practical sessions review emergency procedures and use of rescue equipment for personal evacuation and rescue of a casualty.
Working at Height GWO – revalidation course is for those who have a current GWO certificate for Working at Height and Rescue and wish to revalidate their training certificate.
This course provides a review of Work at Height Regulations and elements of the use of fall protection equipment. Practical sessions on the course review fitting and use of PPE (including the correct fitting and adjustment of harness and correct use of lanyards) emergency procedures and safe use of rescue equipment for personal evacuation and rescue of a casualty.
Practical and theoretical training also covers:
- Safe use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
- Use of vertical ladder safety systems
- Rescue of a person from a ladder
- Evacuation from a nacelle by suitable method
- Competent rescue of a person after a fall
- Ensuring safety of self and others
- Working at Heights legislation overview
- Current issues regarding use of equipment
- Emergency procedures
- Suspension intolerance
Safety footwear required for all practical sessions.
This one day Working at Height GWO – revalidation course is valid for two years.
