Provides a review of Work at Height Regulations and elements of the use of fall protection equipment. Practical sessions review emergency procedures and use of rescue equipment for personal evacuation and rescue of a casualty.

Working at Height RUK / GWO – revalidation course is for those who have a current RUK / GWO certificate for Working at Height and Rescue and wish to revalidate their training certificate.

This course provides a review of Work at Height Regulations and elements of the use of fall protection equipment. Practical sessions on the course review fitting and use of PPE (including the correct fitting and adjustment of harness and correct use of lanyards) emergency procedures and safe use of rescue equipment for personal evacuation and rescue of a casualty.

Practical and theoretical training also covers:

  • Safe use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
  • Use of vertical ladder safety systems
  • Rescue of a person from a ladder
  • Evacuation from a nacelle by suitable method

This one day Working at Height RUK / GWO – revalidation course is valid for two years.

PLEASE NOTE: This course is aimed at regular climbers in the wind industry. If you are an infrequent climber we would recommend you attend the WTG Climbers (RUK / GWO) 2 day course ref TTS5U.

Global Wind Organisation (GWO) have launched their new Global Wind Industry Training Records Database – WINDA. To enter onto any GWO course, trained individuals are now required to register as Delegates on the WINDA database. For more information please refer to our news article.
