Production Manager

Summary

We require a Production Manager to co-ordinate the manufacture of our textile and engineered products for specialist work at height and rescue.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will manage staff, production resources and work schedules to ensure the timely and efficient output of harnesses, stretchers, rope control devices and evacuation systems

Responsibilities

  • Plan work processes to meet works order requirements
  • Monitor levels of materials, parts and consumables
  • Ensure tooling, machinery and other resources are suitable as required
  • Maintain quality documentation - WI's, inspection criteria, procedures
  • Monitor performance and efficiency
  • Record and action non-conformances
  • Keep suitable records - conformity, staff training, mandatory checks
  • Identify staff training needs, deliver training and maintain competence
  • Supervise staff, monitor attendance, holidays, maintain culture and motivation
  • Ensure a safe and tidy workplace
  • Implement lean manufacturing methods
  • Other duties as required

Experience

Ideally you will have experience of a supervisory or management role in a production environment, using a variety of manufacturing methods. We also welcome applications from experienced Production Engineers who are looking for progression into management.

Full training will be provided in our particular production methods.
