Confined Space Entry WTG course is for persons who will require confined spaces in wind turbines which are classed as low risk and do not require the use of portable escape breathing sets in emergency situations.
Provides knowledge and practical competence to allow a person to enter basic confined spaces safely for the purpose of carrying out light maintenance or inspection work within designated areas of wind turbines.
During the course candidates complete practical sessions and will gain experience of narrow, constricted and dark environments and will rescue a colleague.
Course contents includes both classroom and practical learning, covering all characteristics of confined spaces, including use of a gas detector, gas monitoring and awareness of atmospheric hazards
This course also covers safe fitting of harness, use of vertical safety systems, legal, personal and medical requirements for confined space entry. Types, inspection and maintenance of PPE and rescue equipment are also discussed.
Safety footwear required for all practical sessions.

The Confined Space WTG Low Risk Training certificate is valid for a two year period. After this, a revalidation of the course will be required.
